Plain-language summary: Use Bilingo to manage your household bills. Pay us fairly, and we'll keep the service running reliably. Don't misuse it. We're not liable if you miss a bill — Bilingo is a reminder tool, not a payment service.
By downloading, installing, or using the Bilingo application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding contract between you and Visionstar B.V., a company incorporated in the Netherlands. References to "Bilingo," "we," "us," or "our" refer to Visionstar B.V.
Bilingo is a bill management and reminder application. It helps you organise household bills, track due dates, and receive timely reminders. Bilingo is:
Important: Bilingo reminds you of bills but does not pay them. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your bills are paid on time. Missed payments, late fees, or service interruptions resulting from unpaid bills are your responsibility.
To use Bilingo, you must create an account. You agree to:

Bilingo offers four plans: Free, Personal (€2.99/month), Family (€4.99/month), and Ultimate (€9.99/month). Prices are in euros and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
New subscribers to paid plans receive a 30-day free trial. No payment is taken until the trial ends. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends without charge.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings or by emailing hello@bilingo.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law.
If you are dissatisfied within the first 30 days of a paid subscription (after your free trial), contact us at hello@bilingo.app and we will issue a full refund at our discretion. Refunds after 30 days are not generally available except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
The Free plan is available indefinitely with no time limit, subject to the following limitations:
We reserve the right to modify Free plan limitations with 30 days' notice. We will not retroactively reduce features for existing Free users without offering a reasonable upgrade path.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
The Bilingo name, logo, app design, bill database, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Visionstar B.V. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, logos, or proprietary content outside of normal app usage.
You retain ownership of any data you input into Bilingo (your bill names, amounts, household information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the Service to you.
Bilingo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, we disclaim all implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Visionstar B.V. shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch or EU consumer protection law.
By you: You may close your account at any time from app settings or by emailing hello@bilingo.app. Upon closure, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with 14 days' prior notice (except in cases of serious violation, where immediate termination may apply). If we terminate without cause, we will refund any prepaid fees for unused subscription time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also be entitled to bring a claim before the courts of your country of residence, and you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at hello@bilingo.app — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Minor changes (e.g. typo corrections, clarifications) may be made without notice.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
